Tom Mullin Named an “Emerging Leader” by Modern Healthcare

Tom Mullin was promoted to his role in September 2020 after leading the system’s specialty hospitals as chief operating officer. Under his leadership, the specialty hospitals saw referral rates climb 10% and revenue increase 13.1% in 2020. He oversaw efforts to improve care coordination, launching a transitions program to identify when a patient needs to be moved to the next level of care. Mullin also led the creation of a just-in-time ordering process for personal protective equipment across the system.
