Mackenzi Pergolotti, Ph.D., M.S., OTR/L serves as vice president of outcomes and research for Select Medical's Outpatient Division. She leads and oversees the planning, development, implementation and management of a rigorous outcomes data collection, analysis and reporting framework. In this role, she evaluates and leads research initiatives, including both first-party projects and collaborative efforts across Select Medical's divisions.

With over 20 years of clinical practice, program development and research experience, Mackenzi brings deep expertise to her current position. Previously, she served five years at Select Medical as senior director of research and clinical development for its ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program. During her tenure, she was instrumental in establishing ReVital's value proposition through driving outcomes strategy and evidence-based research, including pioneering work in patient-reported outcomes and health services research in cancer rehabilitation.

Mackenzi has published over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and secured multiple research grants, including funding from the National Institutes of Health.

In 2023, she was selected as a Subject Matter Expert for the National Survivorship Standards Consensus Meetings led by the National Cancer Institute and Veterans Affairs, as part of the Biden Administration's Cancer Moonshot initiative and the President's Cancer Cabinet.

Currently, Mackenzi chairs the Cancer Rehabilitation Networking Group at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) and is an active member of the Cancer and Aging Research Group (CARG) and CARG-Advocacy. She serves on multiple professional committees and has contributed significantly to developing national guidelines for cancer rehabilitation care.

Prior to joining Select Medical, Mackenzi was a tenure-track assistant professor at Colorado State University (CSU) in the department of occupational therapy and continues to serve as an adjunct professor at both CSU and the University of North Carolina (UNC). Her previous clinical background included leadership positions at premier institutions, including serving as assistant chief of occupational therapy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Mackenzi earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in occupational therapy from Russell Sage College and Sage Graduate School. She completed her Ph.D. in occupational science at the University of North Carolina, where she held a pre-doctoral fellowship at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, and post doctoral fellowships at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Health Policy and Management and UNC Lineberger Cancer Center, Cancer Outcomes.”
